SANCTUARY COVE’S 20th ANNIVERSARY SHOW DRAWS EXHIBITORS
The 2008 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has generated strong exhibitor interest with close to 200 display applications received within opening weeks of bookings.

The prestigious Australian boat show celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2008 with confirmed dates of Thursday, May 22 to Sunday, May 25.

“We’re delighted to receive so many exhibitor bookings more than seven months before the event,” said Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show general manager Barry Jenkins.

“We had a sensational 2007 event with a record 53,627 visitors and a record 456 exhibitors,” said Mr Jenkins.

The 20th Show marks the culmination of years of international marketing of the Gold Coast based event.

This month (November) the Show will be marketed at Yacht Korea and METS Amsterdam with a further marketing trip planned for the China International Boat Show in Shanghai in April 2007.

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is a member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO), the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Marine Queensland.

“To reach a global market of buyers and marine executives, we’ve combined the 2007 Yearbook and corporate DVD in one pack which can easily be distributed around the world,” said Mr Jenkins.

“This gives intending buyers an excellent understanding of the Show and the high calibre of exhibitors showcasing world and Australian product launches here.”

Exhibitor 2007 survey results support the Show’s status as a truly global event. Survey participants confirmed sales at the 2007 Show to 16 countries including the US, UK, Canada, Russia, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Pacific nations.

“Results from surveys and confirmed sales from exhibitors indicate that sales directly at or as a result of the Show exceeded $A250 million,” said Mr Jenkins.

“Many exhibitors tell us that the Show brings outstanding results.”

The Show offers more than 4km of on-water exhibitors plus pavilion and hardstand displays. Exhibitors span the marine sector with super yachts and super yacht services, luxury cruisers and sports boats, sail boats, power and sail multihulls, engines, marine materials suppliers, deck hardware, designers and electronics.
