This year’s boat show is high on the agenda for several key personnel from some of the marine industry’s largest players, as well as visiting proponents from the superyacht industry.

Two days prior the event, which runs 24 to 27 May, is the second annual 2012 Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX), hosted by AIMEX and Superyacht Australia. This event has attracted speakers and delegates from around the globe – the US, Netherlands, UK, New Zealand, Turkey and United Arab Emirates – which will not only add international clout to the boat show, but also extend the opportunities for brands doing business at the boat show.

The International Business Lounge is conducted by the Queensland Government, Business Gold Coast, Austrade, the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, operating during Show hours from 9am to 5pm for bona fide members.

On the marine industry front, there are many senior representatives who will be attending the 2012 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Multihull Solutions will be hosting Stéven Guedeu, Commercial Director of Fountaine Pajot, who is coming to Australia for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

“I am looking forward to seeing Multihull Solutions at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show,” said Guedeu. “The company is our leading distributor in Fountaine Pajot’s international network, so I am interested in seeing them in action and learning more about the Australian marine market at this renowned event.”

Multihull Solutions will have on show for the first time in the southern hemisphere, the new Catana 47 high performance catamaran.

Timed at almost 25 knots during trials, the Catana 47 is fast, light, robust and exceptionally easy to handle, giving both helmsman and passengers a remarkable sensation of speed and acceleration.

Brett Flanagan and Peter Hill from Integrity Motoryachts will welcome six delegates include the Managing Director, Financial Controller and a selection of senior managers from the Jianghau Marine & Engineering Company in China.

“We are bringing them to Sanctuary Cove Boat Show to show them how we do things here, to take them through the boat show, a tour around the Gold Coast and show them it’s a great place to go boating, as well as sell some boats!”

Last year, Integrity sold three boats at the show and another one before the end of 2011. “It was very rewarding,” says Brett. “This year’s exhibit at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and bringing the Integrity team here from China are the biggest thing we’ve done in terms of investment,” says Brett, adding that they will have four new models on display – the world debut for the 400 and 360 Flybridge plus the 360 Sedan.

The Navico head office in New Zealand is sending John Scott, COO and Doug Anderson, Director of Sales & Marketing supported by local marketing and sales directors.

As well as a brand new custom-built stand, to effectively showcase each of its three brands and offer ample seating for customers to discuss their myriad options, Navico will be presenting new products from Lowrance – HDS Gen2 and StructureScan HD; B&G – Triton series of instruments and autopilots and Simrad – AP70/80 Autopilots.

Representing next-generation sonar imaging system, the LSS-2 StructureScan® HD is compatible with Lowrance HDS and Simrad NSS, NSE and NSO multifunction displays. The StructureScan HD sonar imaging module offers a new dimension in underwater, picture-like displays for more productive fishing, diving, and search and recovery.

Based on the innovation of the world’s first and only true DownScan Imaging technology combined with side-scan imaging, StructureScan HD includes an enhanced transducer design that features three dedicated signals for best-in-class crisp, clear views to the left, right and directly beneath your boat. The ful-panoramic, picture-like returns are now even more impressive with sharper images of structure, fish, thermoclines and more.

When paired with the Lowrance HDS Gen2, StructureScan HD also supports the StructureMap view – a powerful, innovative tool that alows users to overlay and save sidescan sonar images directly on a chart in real-time, or create StructureMap charts for a complete and detailed underwater view all around the boat. The StructureScanHD sonar imaging module is protected by a two-year limited warranty, and backed by the five-year Advantage Service Program.
