CJH 26ft Sportsfisher

CJH Yachts

Australian company CJH Yachts is launching worldwide the CJH 26ft Sportsfisher at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.

Shipwright Chris Headley spent three years researching the project after talking to professional game fishermen, skippers and enthusiasts. Using naval architect Peter Hogbin, the company has designed the vessel as a day boat with fast capabilities to reach offshore fishing grounds.

The vessel features a lightweight and fuel efficient hull form combined with modern Yanmar common rail lightweight twin diesel motors (shaft drive, 180hp per side). The vessel is trailerable featuring a Carolina styled flared bow to keep passengers dry. Other features include a deep vee hull and reverse chines.

Built to Queensland 2C survey, the vessel has a 8m length and 3m beam. Other features include a custom aluminium tower, teak deck and covering boards, 450L fuel capacity and a large cockpit with facility for an 80lb fighting chair. CJH Yacht Services operates from Far North Queensland.

Principal Chris Headley gained experience around Australia and has worked on super yachts and in the south of France.
