The launch of the Hanse 5 series in 2011 has been a huge global success.

There are currently long waiting lists for the babies of the fleet the 325 and 355…

…and it’s easy to see why.

The little Hanses are perfect entry level yachts. They are beautifully balanced, quick sailing boats. The self-tacking headsail means you can easily sail single handed or with an inexperienced crew. The 325 and 355 are also perfect if you are downsizing – they’re nippy around the buoys but with all the modern comforts.

Both yachts have a top quality Jefa rack and pinion steering system. You’ll find this gives you an incredible feel on the helm with no play in the steering.

On the 325 the standard 2 cabin layout gives you a huge port side storage locker for your dinghy and outboard. Down below you’ll find a roomy saloon with a contemporary European style and heaps of ventilation.

The 355 boasts an enormous cockpit (197cm x 232cm). Once again the new modern interior is simply stunning. The saloon alone has 5 opening hatches bringing you wonderful cross-ventilation when you’re at anchor. There’s a separate shower and surprisingly large V berth with storage either side. The 355 is also available in a 3 cabin layout.

Hanse use an epoxy based vinylester resin in the lay-up of every hull.  So the 325 and 355 are strong yet light and virtually impervious to any water penetration or osmosis. Both yachts carry CE Certificate A (ocean).

Team Windcraft offer both yachts loaded with extras. (And if you’re new to yachting Ric Hawkins, Windcraft’s technical sailing advisor, will give you all the help you need to get started.)
