After choosing the 48th Genoa International Boat Show for the exclusive first-ever presentation of the Long Range 23, Mochi Craft was immediately awarded with the “Gran Premio per l’Innovazione”, the Prize for Innovation, by the nautical press. This accolade was given to the Forli-based yard’s new craft by the respected magazine “Vela e Motore”.

Strongly supported by Ferretti Chairman Norberto Ferretti – and made possible by a research project lasting several years carried out by the Ferretti group’s AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology), research and naval design centre, in collaboration with the Studio Zuccon International Project – the Long Range 23 marked its success thanks to the revolutionary “Zero Emission Mode” hybrid propulsion system and the innovative FER.WEY (Ferretti Wave Efficient Yacht) trans-planing hull.

With its five different cruising modes, the new Long Range 23 allows owners to choose between tmochi craft 23 2raditional diesel operation and a zero emission propulsion mode that ensures maximum respect for the environment, acknowledged for the first time by RINA (the Italian Naval Register) with its “Green Star Clean Energy and Clean Propulsion”, the most stringent green certification for pleasure craft.

The Long Range 23’s energy efficiency is further enhanced by its innovative “Fer.Wey” (Ferretti Wave Efficient Yacht) trans-planing hull, which at low speeds reduces hydrodynamic hull drag by 20%, optimising consumption when compared to traditional hulls.

The award ceremony, held in the prestigious location of Villa Zerbino, registered more than 300 guests amid entrepreneurs, designers, technical experts and industry professionals.
“The Long Range 23 marks the beginning of the nautical sector’s green revolution”, said Maurizio Roman, Mochi Craft CEO, “and we’re proud to have given our craft its world debut here at Genoa”.
