Maritimo 73 motor yacht leads success at Sydney International Boat Show

Award-winning luxury boat builder Maritimo completed the 2009 Sydney International Boat Show with sales success across its range.

The new flagship Maritimo 73 Motoryacht drew massive crowds throughout the five-day show, spilling through Maritimo’s marquee and on to the walkways.

“It’s a long time since I’ve seen such enthusiasm,” said Maritimo CEO Bill Barry-Cotter.

The new silver-hull flagship headed Maritimo’s largest ever on-water boat show display of 13 boats valued at more than $25 million.

Maritimo also unveiled the A50, the second of its sporty Aegean Enclosed Flybridge models.

According to Marketing Director Luke Durman, boating enthusiasts arrived at the show ready to do business.

“From the opening on Thursday, our sales team was busy,” he said. “The result has been very encouraging and we are looking forward to further sales as we head into the summer boating season.

“We have orders across the range, with strong interest in the C50 Cabriolet and new A50 Aegean models.

“The new M73 Motoryacht was very well received by our clients. With a boat this size and with a base value of AU$4.25 million, clients are particularly discerning in their expectations of fitout and appointments. We expect to firm up a handful of strong enquiries on the M73 over the next few weeks.”

Maritimo founder and CEO Bill Barry-Cotter commented about the sales atmosphere throughout the show: “Hey, someone has turned on the lights.”
