RIVIERA SYNDICATION’S magnificent 38 Open Flybridge was the centre of attention at Western Australia’s Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show over the weekend.

The vessel is the first Riviera to be syndicated in WA as part of the long-running Riviera Syndication program and attracted plenty of interest over the three days of the biggest boat show held in the West.

Many of the 10 shares available in the 38 Open Flybridge, which will be moored in the Swan River at Aquarama, were quickly snapped up at the show by new owners keen to cruise the Swan, spend a weekend in one of the idyllic bays of nearby Rottnest Island, explore the beautiful South-West coast or even perhaps visit the Mid-West’s world famous Abrolhos Islands.

The 38 Open Flybridge offers spacious accommodation, with two cabins and an electric roll-out bed in the saloon allows comfortable sleeping for six, and ease of handling courtesy of bow and stern thrusters.

It is also immaculately finished inside in Riviera’s New Generation interior design, the fully optioned 38 Open Flybridge offering all the refinements that Riviera is renowned for, including well appointed galley, reverse cycle air conditioning, two hot and cold showers, icemaker and entertainment unit, offering the ultimate cruising experience.

Safe navigation is enhanced by Furuno’s latest 3D GPS/fish finder and Furuno Autopilot.

As the sun set on the second day of the Mandurah show, excited new shareholders gathered with Riviera staff to toast their involvement in a program that offers the sheer luxury of Riviera’s world famous cruisers without the massive capital investment needed to own such a vessel individually.

Traditionally, luxury boat owners have been reluctant to share ownership, but Riviera Syndications Chief Executive Officer John Russell, who has been syndicating boats for over a decade, said that was changing as people realised the enormous benefits of syndicated boats.

“What owners get is a walk-on-walk-off lifestyle,” he said.

“When you arrive at Aquarama to board the 38 Open Flybridge, it will be sparkling clean, stocked, fuelled and ready to go.

“When you return, you can simply step off the boat and head home, leaving our team of experts to take care of the cleaning and maintenance.

“There won’t even be fingerprints on the high gloss cherry timber dining table when the next owner steps on board.”

For a one-off share purchase of $79,500 and yearly maintenance fee, Riviera Syndications offers luxury boat ownership without any of the pitfalls normally associated with the maintenance and upkeep of such a vessel.

Moorings are almost impossible to find in the Swan River and come at a very high cost when they do become available, but Riviera Syndication has already acquired one at the prestigious Aquarama Marina in the Swan River, and the annual maintenance fee for each shareholder for the 38 Open Flybridge is actually less than the yearly cost of that mooring alone.

Riviera Syndication guarantees at least three days of on-water training for each new owner and booking is via an online system, with shareholders allocated 33 days per year, or almost three days per month.

These allocations are also spread evenly over peak periods and can be booked in blocks of up to six days.

Also, shareholders can exchange allocations with Riviera Syndication clients in other parts of the country, meaning WA owners can trade part of their allocation for use of a boat on the east coast.

Peace of mind is ensured by Riviera Syndications’ Riviera Assist program, which offers 24/7 support to Syndication shareholders.

What’s more, each owner has an “equity share” in the boat itself; after three years the boat is sold and shareholders receive their share of the purchase price back, further enhancing the value of the investment and meaning a further reduction in the ’real’ cost of a share.

The booming popularity of boating in Western Australia and the incredible length and variety of coastline accessible is certain to see Riviera Syndication cement its place in the local market as people right across the state discover the benefits of shared boat ownership.

Riviera Syndication offer a range of Riviera Flybridge and Sport designs in syndicated ownership in some of the most desired boating destinations in Australia including The Whitsunday Islands, Gold Coast, Sydney Harbour and now Perth.
