Timber Boat Festival at Royal Motor Yacht Club Newport

‘Ships Ahoy!’ Come along to the 9^th Annual Timber Boat Festival at the Royal Motor Yacht Club Newport at 46 Prince Alfred Pde, on the weekend of Saturday 7^th & Sunday 8^th November 2009 between 10am and 4pm.

Over 60  Timber boats of all sizes will be on display many which have been lovingly restored by their owners, including cruisers, sailing vessels, converted trawlers and the ever popular Halvorsen. This should be a spectacular and very interesting sight!

All boats are open for inspection, some have amazing histories and all have their own character!

There will also be displays with a nautical theme including the Maritime Model Museum, demonstrating live steam engines and model making.

Admission is $4.00 per adult. Children are free.
