The highly acclaimed range of Websters Twinfisher aluminium catamarans has become even more appealing.

All Websters Twinfisher models from 4.3m to 5.2m can be now supplied in either the traditional pressed clinker configuration, or the more contemporary flat sided hull.

The choice is available as a no-cost alternative.

According to Daniel Schofield, Co-Director of Websters Twinfisher, the new flat sided hull is proving exceptionally popular amongst customers throughout Australia.

“The seed of the idea for the flat sided hull actually came as a request from our Brisbane dealer, Northside Marine,” Daniel said.   “We built a boat for them to display at the Sunshine Coast International Boat Show and it has taken off from there.”

“The overwhelming feedback from dealers and customers is really strong.   Both the clinker and flat side designs have their fans, it just comes down to a matter of personal choice.”

Aluminium boats have for many years been built with clinker style pressings in the side sheets.  The clinker pressings add sheer strength to the hull allowing the use of lighter gauge sheet to keep overall weight to an acceptable level.

However, as new grades in aluminium sheet have become available and the finish of Websters Twinfisher aluminium cats approaches automotive standards, the high quality flat sided hulls are now achieved.  The classic clinker sided Websters Twinfisher hulls are made from 2.5mm thick marine grade sheet, while the flat sided hulls use sheet that is 3.0mm thick.

The clinker side appeals to the traditionalists who value the look and feel of a clinker sided boat.

The fore and aft pressings can make the hull appear longer. The flat sided hull is a more contemporary, smoother look.  With Websters Twinfisher high shine powder coated finish and striking graphics, the flat sided hull is certainly the hull of the new millennium.

The alternative hull option applies to the 4.3m, 4.9m and 5.2m series of hulls, each of which is available in a runabout and centre console configuration.

Unlike most cat hulls, the Webster’s Twinfisher uses a single outboard engine, not a dual installation.  The cost savings and benefits of the Webster’s configuration are achieved with a uniquely designed hull without compromising performance.

Positioned by the manufacturer as ‘the perfect fishing boat’, the Webster’s Twinfisher range covers a comprehensive line up of trailerable aluminium catamarans that includes runabouts, centre console and bassmaster configurations.  There are also some smaller tiller steer models.

Webster’s Twinfisher boats are wholly manufactured at Orange in NSW.  The hull design is unique in that it is a cat hull powered by a single outboard engine.  The package delivers excellent performance with unparalleled stability.
