Firmly establishing itself as one of Queensland’s premier outdoor lifestyle events, the Brisbane Boat Show is proud to be celebrating its 50 show in 2010 on from August 26 to 29 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank.

This year is all about combining a showcase of the latest boats and marine accessories with a celebration of just how far the show has come” said Jason Plant, Marine Queensland Events Manager.

“The first show in 1961 was held at Brisbane’s City Hall, there were 11 exhibitors with product on display totalling in excess of £70,000.  The show has grown to include over 120 exhibitors in 2009, showcasing millions of dollars in product”

“We have managed to track down engines dating back as far as 1939 along with boats that celebrate every decade of the show’s existence” said Plant, “We are going to have a great historical display with information and stories demonstrating just how far Queensland’s marine industry has come over the last five decades”.

The show has time and again demonstrated that it is a proven location for the marine industry to showcase products and for consumers from throughout South East Queensland and beyond to browse and make a purchase decision.

The success of the 2010 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show, also owned and managed by Marine Queensland, proves that boating continues to play an integral role in the lives of Queenslanders.  A record 35,562 people attended the show over its three days proving that interest in boating and fishing in Queensland is more popular than ever before.

The Brisbane Boat Show is the perfect opportunity for all marine businesses to present their product to a qualified buying market.
