Australia’s premier boat builder, Maritimo, is planning it largest ever display at the annual Cannes International Boat Show that opens on September 8.

Maritimo Marketing Director Luke Durman said the company will display three boats in three separate categories – an M48 Cruising Motoryacht, a 550 Offshore Convertible sportfisher and a new C50 Sports Cabriolet.

The show will also be the first event for the company’s new Europe region manager, Steve Boerema. He will work with three Maritimo dealers, French Boat Market representing France, Elite Marine from Italy and Pelicano Yachts from Spain.

“We are excited to be expanding our marketing program in Europe,” said Mr Durman. “Our Dealers are looking forward to the hands-on support that Steve will be able to provide.”

Mr Durman said the European market continues to show strength in spite of the economic issues faced by some countries.

“Our Dealers are highly motivated for the European boat show season,” he said. “Starting the season with a strong three-boat display proves their commitment to our brand.”

He said the three-boat display will give show-goers in western Europe a valuable taste of the Maritimo range.

“We founded the company on the Cruising Motoryacht,” he said. “The 48 has been our single most popular model.

“The Offshore Convertible offers exciting options – go big game fishing one day and family cruising the next. And our new C50 Sports Cabriolet with its single-level entertainer design should suit the Mediterranean lifestyle to a tee.”

Steve Boerema said he was looking forward to building a strong relationship with all Maritimo’s Europe Dealers.

“My role is to help them sell Maritimos,” he said. “Having three Dealers together for this first show gives me a great opportunity to roll my sleeves up and get to work. I’m excited about the entire Europe season.”
