With the wind in their sails following success in Sydney, Multihull Solutions is now gearing up for the 2011 Mandurah Boat Show.

Traditionally a strong event for the company, the Show will be staged from 14-16 October at Mandurah Ocean Marina.

Multihull Solutions will be showcasing two of Fountaine Pajot’s most popular sailing catamarans, the Mahe 36 Evolution and Lipari 41.

The Mahe 36 Evolution is priced form only AUD$395,000 and features a host of improvements and new features to its predecessor, including a rigid cockpit bimini, redesigned galley, additional refrigeration, improved ventilation and numerous interior upgrades.

The changes contribute to making the Mahé 36 Evolution the best value 11-metre catamaran on the market. The innovative model makes catamaran sailing accessible to new clients on a reasonable budget while still offering the superior performance and construction qualities commonly found in larger and more prestigious catamarans.

Priced from AUD$525,000, the Lipari 41 shatters the benchmarks set by its peers. Designed with a low centre of gravity and light displacement of 7.6T, the Lipari 41 offers outstanding stability with optimal comfort and performance in all conditions. The Lipari 41 construction also offers the Fountaine Pajot “trademark unsinkability” for absolute safety.

Aesthetically, the Lipari 41 represents the pinnacle of European excellence with elegant lines and a revolutionary design that maximises space, storage and comfort. The catamaran’s ergonomically designed deck provides convenient centralised handling with obstacle-free movement. The Lipari 41 also features an integrated dual-seating helm station with excellent visibility and has the cockpit and saloon on the same level to help make short and long passages a cruising pleasure.

Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said they expected a record amount of interest at this year’s event.

“Western Australia has become one of our fastest growing markets, with great interest across the sailing and power catamaran range from entry level through to our brands’ most luxurious models,” Mark said.

“With the strong Australian dollar, we are able to offer exceptional value to our Western Australian buyers who recognise the lifestyle and investment benefits of catamaran ownership,” he said.

It has been an outstandingly successful year for Multihull Solutions, having been announced as Fountaine Pajot’s Worldwide Distributor of the Year for the second consecutive year as well as enjoying record sales and enquiries at the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney Boat Shows.
