Coomera, QLD: Set on 14 hectares of waterfront land, comprising 26 buildings with more than 46,000 m2 under roof; 270 people come to work each day at Australia’s largest and most awarded luxury boat builder.

For three days, the life-blood of Riviera will be on show at the second annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo held on November 2, 3 and 4.

People will have the chance to see first-hand what makes Riviera tick, through factory tours and live demonstrations of the boat building process as qualified ship wrights, boat builders, engineers and designers provide insightful information about Riviera’s construction and design.

Riviera’s director of brand and communications Stephen Milne said Riviera would also have an impressive on-water display featuring some of the latest new model releases and some old favourites.

“Riviera’s on-water display will showcase Riviera’s latest designs with the stunning new 53 Enclosed Flybridge dubbed the ‘spaceship’, the new 43 Open Flybridge, the newly released 445 SUV and our classic 5000 and 5800 Sport Yachts, as well as the new Belize 52 Sedan,” Mr Milne said.

Riviera Syndication will also display their 5800 Sport Yacht Bellini, which is berthed at Sanctuary Cove and travels to the Whitsundays for the winter months and Sydney for the summer months.  There are only two shares left in this popular model and cost $219,000 per share plus on goings. Riviera Syndication also has two shares available in an identical 5800 Sport Yacht Marbella, which is berthed at Hamilton Island.  Owners have four weeks per year on board in the beautiful Whitsundays and shares in this boat cost $200,000 per share plus on goings.

“Riviera will also host a very special gala dinner on the Friday night.  The factory will be transformed into a five-star entertainment precinct to celebrate the launch of our 5000th Riviera, a significant milestone in Riviera’s 32 year history.

“Our Experience Centre located on site offers boating enthusiasts the latest boating fashion, accessories and electronics, and our waterfront restaurant and bar has a gourmet selection of sumptuous meals, light snacks and refreshments.”

The second annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo is expected to attract more than 20,000 people through the gates over the three day event, and features a 2.5 kilometre display circuit with more than 200 boating brands on show, live entertainment including the RAAF Roulettes performing an aerial acrobatics display at noon daily above the Coomera River.

Other attractions include, the Yamaha Supertank Travelling Fishing Show, the Jetlev Jetpack Flyer Australia, a Class 2 Offshore race boat display and the opportunity to meet the drivers from the Queensland division of the Australian Power Boat Association, the Artists’ Quarter, and the Little Pirates Kids’ Club will once again entertain the children with jumping castle and face painting, there will also be a host of international food stalls and live entertainment.

“The on-water display will showcase an impressive 120 boats ranging in size from four feet to more than 100 feet.  The Saturday night Shipyard party that is open to the public with free admission is expected to be one of the many highlights of the Expo, which culminates with a spectacular fireworks display at 7pm,” Mr Milne said.

The not-for-profit event will showcase the latest products and services from Australia’s leading marine manufacturers, from kayaks to superyachts and everything in between.

“The Expo will once again support our valued community groups, the Rotary Club of Coomera River, Sailability, Wasp Creek Rural Fire Service, Paradise Kids and the Westpac Life Saver Helicopter Rescue Service.”
