New Rovex Big Boss II Spin Reels

If you want the power to fight tough saltwater fish, it’s time to call in the new Rovex Big Boss II spin reels. There are three models in the range—a 5000, 6000 and 8000—and the all new design is constructed with an aluminium body and side plate, a machined aluminium handle, plus an aluminium spool with a rubber grip ring for spooling braided line. The 5000 and 6000 sizes have an extra-heavy-duty polymer rotor and the 8000 size has an aluminium rotor.

Rovex Big Boss II reels are strong on the inside, too, with six stainless steel ball bearings, a stainless steel main shaft, rock-solid infinite anti-reverse and a powerful-yet-smooth carbon-fibre drag system. The big hand-grip and 4.9:1 gear ratio provide plenty of power and torque for those hard-core battles with saltwater predators, and the braid line capacities ensure you’ve got plenty of line for when the big fish run long.
