The 2013 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show will be the stage for three official Australian multihull launches including the Catana 42, Fountaine Pajot Hélia 44 and the redesigned Summerland 40 Trawler.

Multihull Solutions anticipates intense interest in all three models which have already enjoyed critical acclaim following their recent international launches.

After astonishing Europeans with her remarkably fast sea trials, the Catana 42 is set to impress Australian and New Zealand buyers.

Fully optioned and ready to turn heads with her contemporary steel grey exterior, the Catana 42 on display also includes performance hydranet sails, bowsprit with gennaker, carbon bimini, textile lifelines, solar panels, Garmin electronic pack, LED lights, and Alcantara interior.

The Catana 42 recorded nearly 22 knots during recent European sea trials, and the fiery catamaran is demanding attention from buyers, media and industry experts alike with its ability to harness the slightest gust and deliver fast and outstanding offshore performances.

The Catana 42 sails at incredible speeds due to the comprehensive range of technical innovations, exclusive to the Catana shipyard. The catamaran’s unique beam/length ratio, adjustable daggerboards, tilted and tulip-shaped bows, aerodynamic coach-roof and torpedo-shaped hulls make the Catana 42 a revolution in the marine industry.

At the cutting edge of recreational boatbuilding, the carbon infusion process, now standard on all Catana models, ensures that the Catana 42 is an incredibly high-performance, light and resistant boat,. At 20 knots before the wind, and 12 knots into the wind, the Catana 42 offers its passengers an unrivalled level of comfort and safety for a boat of this size.

The Catana 42 has an ambient and spacious interior with 360° panoramic views from generous windows. With direct access to the cockpit, its saloon is the hub of the boat and is equipped with an abundance of storage space. The light-filled cabins, excellent ventilation, contemporary interior design, thermal and audio insulation, all come together to make life on board easier and more comfortable.

The Boat Show will also be the stage for the official Australian launch of the new Fountaine Pajot Hélia 44 sailing catamaran.

With its name derived from the Greek term for ‘ray of light’, the Hélia 44 delivers impressive offshore performance, optimal safety and ease of handling, and it looks set to become the company’s most popular model yet.

Orders have already been so strong that there are only two Hélia 44’s left for ex-factory delivery in 2013, and only four available for delivery into Australia or New Zealand before May 2014.

In addition to these exclusive launchings, Multihull Solutions will be showcasing the popular Summerland 40 Trawler power catamaran which has recently undergone a stunning interior overhaul.

The 2013 model Summerland 40 has a host of new features including a newly designed saloon that provides 360 degree visibility through panoramic windows.  There is also additional storage space incorporated into the latest Summerland 40 catamarans, and improved integration of the galley and cockpit areas.

All of the cabins have been upgraded with premium quality finishes and fixtures, and the flybridge has been revised to optimise spaciousness.

The Summerland 40 has been one of Trawler’s most successful power catamaran models and its popularity is attributed to the boat’s low fuel consumption that 40 per cent less than comparable catamarans in the market.
