Happy Captain boathook has a worldwide evolution
The Evolve Group has recently signed a deal with Happy Captain Australia Pty Ltd which will see Evolve officially launch the world’s ultimate boathook, along with its extensive range of innovative products.
Happy Captain chose to sign over the manufacturing, sales and marketing of their range of products to Evolve as they identified Evolve’s unique ability to launch products onto the Australian and international stage, whilst also being able to continue the research and development into new products and continue to build the range.
Happy Captain was launched in 2012 as a culmination of a three-year dream, a lot of hard work and world-class designing for good friends
and avid boaters Murray Bragg and Arthur Nommensen who were themselves looking for a practical boathook.
The ‘ultimate boathook’ has a patented shuttle designed to thread a leader rope through cleats, rungs and buoys for easy mooring.
Evolve managing director Ty Hermans said he was looking forward to undertaking the distribution, sales and marketing of this feature-laden product. “We are happy to lend our skillset and distribution network to making this great Aussie designed and made product a real success,” explained Mr Hermans.
The Evolve Group is responsible for the launch, sales, marketing and distribution for other successful products including Polyslab, Evo-Crete, TRED and now Happy Captain.
The recent additions of the TRED and Happy Captain products to Evolve’s range of business expands the industries of interest for Evolve from plumbing, electrical, and DIY into pools, automotive and now marine.
“Happy Captain is the ideal product to enter the marine market with as we know it is something everyone can benefit from,” said Mr Hermans.
“Possibly the greatest feature of the product is its ability to easily change out a multitude of different functional heads with the twist of a wrist, all fitting with the one lightweight and virtually indestructible carbon fibre pole. A variety of different brushes, gaffs, fishing nets, squeegees, spears and knives all work on the one inquiry designed utility pole.
“Strength was kept in mind when designing Happy Captain using UV resistant fittings and a first of its kind carbon fibre pole.
“The Happy Captain is truly the ultimate boating accessory, offering a one-size-fits-all product that no boat is complete without. This multipurpose tool is 100 per cent Australian made, designed and owned. It was designed by boaters for boaters with versatility in mind.”
