Lightwave Yachts is releasing the Lightwave 45 GT in an Australian launch at Sanctuary Cove.

This is a trim tab version of the Lightwave 45 Grande Sailing Catamaran.

Following similar concepts of the Lightwave 47 Motor Sailer, this new vessel is a type of motor sailer but maintains its sailing hulls.

Trim tabs are fitted on hydraulic arms for operation when under power propulsion by two Yanmar 4BY 180hp diesels.

This maintains great sailing performance while achieving higher cruising speeds under power of 14 – 17 knots. The Australian company has recently celebrated 15 years in business and the launch of its 75^th boat.
