Exhibitor SailTime has been awarded its first 4C Commercial Survey Certificate issued in Australia.

The Maritime NSW issued certificate is a first for the charter industry, according to SailTime Australia director Graham Raspass.

“Up until now, when a person charters a bare boat vessel in Australia, they are restricted to either partially smooth or shetered waters, which means sticking to harbours, bays or protected waterways,” he said. “The 4C survey allows members to explore offshore waters.” The certificate was issued to SailTime’s Beneteau Oceanis 34. SailTime is a leading global membership- based sailing company with 50 bases worldwide.

An alternative to traditional boat ownership, syndicate or boat share or charter sailing options, SailTime members have access to luxury yachts without significant capital.

Members book their time via the unique SailTime online scheduler to enjoy year-round sailing for a one-off joining fee plus monthly membership inclusive of insurance, marina fees and maintenance.

SailTime is equity free membership so unlike syndicate or yacht share, members do not own a share of the boat nor need to find substantial capital. Members join for a year so they have maximum flexibility.

The SailTime Australian fleet currently comprises monohull yachts 30ft to 40ft in length with catamarans and power boats planned for the future.

Each SailTime base is independently owned and operated by a local entrepreneur. The exhibitor will display a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 33i at the Show.
