Exhibitor Aquatronics Marine is showcasing the WatchMate 850 at Sanctuary Cove in an Australian release.

This is a complete AIS Class B Transponder package, which was nominated for a 2010 DAME award. It meets AIS requirements, is concise and easy to install and carries a backlit user-friendly display.

Users have full control over any alarm condition and have a variety of AIS target display options ranked in user selectable priorities.

The WatchMate 850 main display unit features a built-in dedicated GPS receiver, which makes for simple installation. Simply add a VHF antenna or antenna splitter to complete the job. The unit can switch to silent mode, and is totally waterproof (IP67).

It can provide self-diagnosis, can filter targets with user selectable priorities and can connect to PC Navigation programs via an optional waterproof USB connector cable. Users have full control over any alarm condition and have a variety of AIS target display options ranked in user selectable priorities.

Aquatronics Marine is the Australian distributor for Vesper Marine’s WatchMate range in Australia. Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, this has worldwide compliance with a Class B AIS transponder.

Aquatronics Marine together with Vesper Marine can provide customised AIS solutions for special applications such as providing ferry operators with the ability to enter destination and POB numbers to be transmitted to a base station.
