NSW Maritime gears up to prepare for Sydney Harbour’s longest day of on-water celebration.

The events that take place on Australia Day are free fun to participate in both on and around the water:

All Day Judging of the Best Dressed Vessel Competition
Best vantage point – Sydney Harbour

  • 11.00am AAMI Ferrython
    Best vantage point – Farm Cove, Shark Island, Bradleys Head, Athol Bay and
    Kirribilli Point
  • 12.00pm Australia Day Parade
    Best vantage point – Farm Cove, Clark Island, Bradleys Head, Athol Bay, Kirribilli Point and Lavender Bay
  • 1.00pm Defence Aerial Display – FA-18
    Best vantage point – Sydney Harbour
  • 1.15pm 172nd Australia Day Regatta
    Best vantage point – East of Clark Island
  • 2.00pm RAAF Roulettes
    Best vantage point – Sydney Harbour
  • 2.30pm Up close judging of the Best Dressed Vessel Competition
    Best vantage point – Farm Cove
  • 3.00pm Red Berets Parachute Display
    Best vantage point – Circular Quay
  • 3.00pm Tall Ships Race
    Best vantage point – Bradleys Head for the start and finishing under the Bridge
  • 5.00pm Sydney Ports Jazz on the Water
    Best vantage point – Johnstons Bay and Pyrmont Point Park
  • 8.45pm Darling Harbour Australia Day Spectacular
