Australian boaters show strong demand for quality

Locking away a number of significant new boat sales in the first half of 2011, Emarine Australia’s successful year continued during the recent Sydney International Boat Show.

As the Australasian agent for Back Cove and (sister brand) Sabre motor yachts, Emarine took deposits on two more vessels during the show – one for a Back Cove 30 and the other for the new Back Cove 34.

Emarine Australia director Jed Elderkin said the order for the Back Cove 34 was placed “sight unseen”, as the new model was launched just this past weekend at the Maine Boats, Homes and Harbours Show in the US.

“Back Cove has a deserved reputation in the Australian market as a brand of absolute quality,” Mr Elderkin said.

Emarine’s on-water display at the Sydney International Boat Show also incorporated the Australasian launch of the Sabre 40 Sedan. Making the trek from the US for the occasion, Sabre Yachts’ vice president marketing and sales Bentley Collins again acknowledged Emarine Australia’s dedication and success with both the Back Cove and Sabre brands.

“Five or six years ago, Australian boat show patrons would ask ‘what’s a Back Cove?’,” Mr Collins said.
