The Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX 2011) held immediately prior to Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show provided the platform for a number of highly valuable networking events amongst conference delegates, industry identities and dignitaries.

The Conference Welcome Reception and Networking Cocktail Function was held at The Hyatt Regency, Sanctuary Cove, poolside, where delegates registered for the two day conference and met their fellow delegates

Lunches during the Conference were hosted by AIMEX member Marine Tech Industries Australia and Binhai New Area Government.

Tuesday Evening’s Conference Dinner ‘a taste of Australia’ was held at the Sanctuary Cove Country Club where delegates were seated at tables themed as iconic Superyacht destinations within Australia. The evening was a huge success with a constant hum of quality networking amongst the room. Many prizes were given away including a voucher donated by Rothschild Superyacht Interiors, sunglasses provided by Barz Optics, a dozen bottles of Tyrells Wines, dinner for two at Glass Restaurant – Marina Oceanus, Gold Coast and lunch for two at the SOFITEL Girls Day Out Race Day donated by the Victoria Racing Club, Melbourne.

Following the conference a group of delegates played nine holes of golf on The Pines course, Sanctuary Cove.

Superyacht Australia CEO, MaryAnne Edwards said “the Conference certainly provided an excellent and unique opportunity for these marine industry sectors to network with their fellow colleagues from around the world.” Ms Edwards stated that a number of delegates had expressed their appreciation for the opportunities provided within the programme to network with new contact and they were impressed by the calibre of delegates in attendance and their spread from across Australia and globally.
