Back Cove 33 – a style reminiscent to the Maine lobster boat.

E Marine Australia, the importers and distributors of the Back Cove range of motor yachts, are please to announce the arrival of the Back Cove 33 to the Australian and New Zealand markets in addition to the already popular 26 & 29.

The practical design features of this elegant and well laid out craft is striking a chord in the market place world wide and is so well suited to the Australasian market.

Of particular interest is the exceptional fuel economy provided by her single diesel shaft drive engine. Her recessed prop pocket provides reduced drag, an ideal thrust angle and also allows for shoal water operation with a minimum of draft. Performance is excellent and her deep vee hull will cruise effortlessly at speeds of 20 knots in open water conditions, whilst sipping fuel. The hull has downward turning chines and long spray rails providing additional lift and pushing spray down away from the windshield.

Below deck the 33 offers plenty of headroom. With an interior height of 6’5” she is one of the most spacious boats in her class. Forward is a large V Berth almost 7’ in length. Aft of the berth to port is a very comfortable lounge with a beautiful inlaid table that can be converted for additional sleeping. To starboard is an easily maintained head compartment which includes a separate stall shower – a feature rarely found in a 33 footer.

On the helm deck the sense of space is impressive. A raised dinette with yet another elegant inlaid table will seat four for dinner and can also be converted to form an additional sleeping berth. Large opening windows, giving all on board a great view of the waterways, surround this entire space.
To starboard is a well-equipped galley with a deep stainless sink, cherry cabinets, dovetailed drawers, microwave and a two burner cook top. A solid surface countertop adds to the beauty and functionality of this bright and airy galley.

In the cockpit there is a standard bench seat  – a comfortable place from which one can enjoy a day on the water.

Wide side decks, oversized handrails – a hand hold wherever needed, highest quality hatches and portlights, large dimension mooring cleats are all features that have become expected with the Back Cove brand.

From spoon bow to gently sloped transom the design of these practical and beautiful motor yachts are a delight to drive and a joy to behold.
