Bavaria Yachts Australia is proud to continue its sponsorship of the Bavaria Yachts International Youth Match Racing Regatta.  Held at the CYCA from Monday 24th November through to Friday 28th November 2008, this is the 7th year of this highly competitive international youth match racing regatta, now a well established and internationally recognised event.

The regatta is an extension of the CYCA’s Youth Sailing Academy’s long term policy of developing a high level of sailing skills, knowledge and teamwork in a new generation of young yachtsmen and women.

Sailed from Rushcutters Bay on Sydney Harbour, each of the ten teams will be assigned one of the clubs Elliott 6.0 metre keel boats from a daily draw for training and competing. 

The event has been certified as Grade 3 for the ISAF International Match Racing rankings and is by invitation to crews of three or four who have not reached their 21st birthday on or before 31 December 2008.
