Bayliner’s 320 Continues Innovative Design With New Twist to Cabin

Bayliner has long since established a reputation for delivering a high design standard in its cruiser line at a price that keeps luxury—and fun—affordable. Now with the new 320, Bayliner has added a new level of flexibility to the mix by allowing boaters to choose the cabin layout that best fits their lifestyle.

For family boaters and those who love to entertain, the standard cabin arrangement showcases an enormous lounge seat that wraps around the entire salon. This seat can be easily converted to sleeping space whenever day trips extend into the night. Prefer more defined sleeping space instead? The optional cabin layout replaces a portion of the wraparound seat with a fixed forward berth, easily large enough to sleep two comfortably.

Regardless of the layout choice, the 320 cabin is spacious and bright thanks to Bayliner’s signature side deck windows. With more than six feet of headroom and a wide 11′ beam, there’s plenty of room to move about. Even the standard head is large enough to shower easily while standing up. Both layouts feature an aft double berth with solid bulkhead and door for complete privacy as well as a full-service galley with refrigerator, two-burner electric stove, microwave and solid surface countertops.

Even with so many big features in the cabin, it’s the little extras that create the perfect atmosphere, including gorgeous new fabrics, improved lighting and an MP3 compatible, satellite-ready CD stereo system with Sirius satellite radio option. To make sure no one misses the big game or a favorite show while out on the water, a TV/DVD package is also available. The cabin also provides abundant storage for all the personal items guests choose to bring along.

Like its sister cruisers, the 320 has a huge, single-level cockpit that eliminates tripping hazards, while maximizing seating and improving traffic flow into and out of the boat. The wide transom platform makes it easy to step aboard from the dock or the water, while docking gear and water toys are stowed neatly out of the way in the large transom locker. An optional stereo remote control is also available for the transom to set the mood for all day fun.

The transom door opens into an unbelievably wide, spacious seating area with sweeping curves and sharp new upholstery. The large L-shaped aft lounger converts easily to a sun lounge for passing a lazy afternoon or for a catnap after enjoying a round of water sports. An optional bolster is available for the standard portside seat, so it can be used for lounging space as well. Even the double helm seat is designed to work with the cockpit seating flow. When the boat is at rest, the captain can simply rotate the seat to face everyone and join in the conversation. Want even more room for guests to relax and soak up the sun? Just add the optional foredeck cushions and rails to create yet another spacious site for sunbathing.

With so much space for guests, there has to be plenty of space for food and drinks, too. The 320 has a cockpit entertainment center that includes a dedicated storage niche for the standard 36-quart carry-on cooler plus room for an optional cockpit refrigerator. The entertainment center is positioned for easy access from the transom and the seating area without impeding traffic.

From all day cruising to picnicking in a quiet cove, the 320 packs plenty of power for any adventure with twin fuel-injected 5.0L/260 HP MerCruiser® engines or, for a faster boat one can opt for twin 350 MAG/300 HP engines that kick the full throttle performance up. Piloting the 320 is a dream, from the custom molded dash with new steering wheel and top-mounted controls, to the standard remote control for the awesome new sound system.

All twin engine Bayliner products are available with Mercury’s new Axius joystick docking control system. The combination of Bayliner’s Smooth Ride System Hull Design and Axius – a truly revolutionary technology, is the perfect match to provide enhanced performance, and a new level of handling for those customers who want simple and intuitive control that will allow them to easily maneuver the 320 in tight docking and handling situations.

Perhaps the real beauty of the new 320 is that it looks just as good as it performs. Abundant stainless steel accents gleam in the sun. The overhead arch is swept forward for style and functionality, especially when using the camper canvas cover with new thicker windows. There’s also a new hull stripe option available in blue or black to make this outstanding cruiser stand out even more.

As with every Bayliner cruiser, the 320 is built on the patented Smooth Ride System™ for maximized space, better handling and improved fuel economy. It’s also backed by a transferable Limited 5-year Structural Hull Warranty. So, the new 320 offers not only a high design standard, but Bayliner’s unwavering commitment to quality.
