New HV Displays add to the celebrated Triton sailing navigation system
B&G, the world leader in instruments, autopilot systems and tactical software solutions for sailors, is pleased to announce the new range of Triton HV Displays. These practical displays are dedicated for use on the mast, providing cruising and club racing sailors with high quality, professionally proved systems.
Complementing the Triton Instrument Display and Triton Pilot, these new mast displays benefit from B&G’s unique LCD display bonding process to provide unrivaled contrast with zero risk of condensation, coupled with LED backlighting for outstanding clarity and longevity.
Available as 10/10 and 20/20 Triton HV Display format, users can select display data via their Triton Instrument Displays and even change backlight options (20/20 only). Whether looking for True Wind Angle, COG or SOG, getting the crucial information in the right place is simple, as Triton HV Displays provide an answer for every need.
Installation of Triton HV Displays is straightforward due to the use of industry standard connectors. Triton HV Displays have wide compatibility with networked products and will fit perfectly into existing B&G marine electronic systems.
Leif Ottosson, CEO of B&G said: “The Triton Navigation system has already gained a reputation for excellence with cruising and racing yachtsmen alike. These new Triton HV Displays only serve to strengthen this and offer more choice to the wider yachting market.”
Adding to the practicality of the new mast displays, owners of the Triton Instrument Display are also set to benefit from a free software update. This update, known as RTM 2, enables increased functionality such as Windplot – a wind trend histogram, engine data support, heel angle data support, air temperature data display and expanded language profiles such as Norwegian, Swedish and Croatian. This update also enhances the representation of analogue screens, which now include Rudder, Heel and alarm functions.
Triton HV Displays will be available in December 2012, perfect for a summer installation, and the displays are priced from just $699. The brand new Triton Instrument Display software update will be available for free from mid November 2012. For more info visit www.bandg.com
