Boating Syndication Australia celebrates new Belize

An excited group of owners applauded the official “christening” of their new Belize motor yacht at the Boating Syndication Australia (BSA) Sanctuary Cove boat show party.

Johan Pronk came to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show to see his new boat for the first time. He signed on for a share in the 52-foot luxury cruiser, Belizzimo, when he saw the first boat in Australia in October last year.

“It may have been a six-month wait, but it has been well worth it,” said Johan.

Barry and Karen Plant are also pleased with their investment.  

“We believe in the syndication business model and the flexibility it affords us,” said Barry. “We have a share in one of BSA’s boats in Sydney but we spend a lot of time on the Gold Coast so it made perfect sense to have access to this wonderful boat here.”

The boat was christened in the usually style with a bottle of champagne by BSA’s Rod Roberts.

Finger food, wine and conversation flowed among more than 40 owners and guests on board the boat throughout the evening. Children took over another BSA boat, an Azimut 40S, moored opposite Belizzimo and danced the evening away with songstress Suzanna who entertained the BSA guests for three hours.

BSA Managing Director Andy Young was happy to see the boat christened and spent some time during the evening confirming training sessions with the new owners over the following week.

“I’m delighted to welcome so many of our new Gold Coast owners on board,” said Andy. “It is a great start to our business expanding north to Queensland.”

Belizzimo will be berthed at Marina Mirage at the southern end of the Gold Coast Broadwater. Andy said shares in the boat are now fully sold.

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show was a resounding success for BSA.

Andy confirmed that nine of the 10 shares in Belizzimo were sold before and during the show and the last share in BSA’s Sydney-based Belize was also sold during the show. The final shafre in Belizzimo was sold just a week after the show closed.

“We also saw strong interest in the Azimut with seven sea trials booked for the days immediately after the show,” he said. “We have also had an overwhelming response to our Riviera M360 to be berthed alongside the Belize at Marina Mirage. At only $25,900 per share, it is expected to sell rapidly, with two shares already paid before the vessel’s arrival.”
