Two of Australia’s leading marine brands, Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines and Telwater, the maker of iconic boat brands such as Quintrex, Stacer, Archer and Yellowfin boats, have recently announced a partnership agreement. The deal will see the range of quality Evinrude E-TEC outboards be supplied as part of Telwater’s popular pre-rigged boat, engine and trailer package program.

Both companies have had a long history within the Australian boating industry. “The partnership will see the quality range of Evinrude E-TEC outboards power another quality marine brand, in Telwater boats. It was natural for us to align ourselves with a brand that carries the same values that represent our product; giving consumers the best possible boating experience” said Rohan Slater, National Sales Manager for BRP Australia. “Telwater have been at the forefront of hull technology and design for over 65 years. Similar to Evinrude E-TEC, their focus on innovation and improving the customer experience, has meant they remain Australia’s most popular aluminium boat.”

The partnership will commence immediately with Evinrude E-TEC and Telwater BMT packages hitting dealership floors from around late September / early October.

“In partnering with Evinrude E-TEC, we are giving consumers even more choice. The fact they have no dealer serviced maintenance for 3 year or 300 hours, as well as great fuel efficiency, has always made the product an attractive option for buyers” said Tim Atkins, General Manager of Telwater. “Our decision to partner with Evinrude E-TEC also stemmed from their great power & performance. With outstanding power-to-weight across the range, the E-TEC platform will enhance the performance of our boats even more.”

“Both companies recognise that clean and innovative technologies in engine design and boat manufacturing is key to the long term prosperity of our respective dealer networks” said Rohan Slater. “We are looking forward to working with Telwater in this exciting partnership for the future”.
