Sunseeker International is proud to announce that Katherine Jenkins, the award-winning British mezzo-soprano, is to perform at the official launch of the new Sunseeker 40 Metre Yacht at the forthcoming PSP Southampton International Boat Show (10-19 September 2010).

Katherine is a world-renowned classical performer, known for her contemporary arias, popular songs, hymns and classical music. Joining Sunseeker Founder Robert Braithwaite on board the new flagship Sunseeker vessel (Berth M540) on Friday 10th September at 11.30am, she will add a touch of glamour to the 40 Metre Yacht’s global launch. Katherine will perform three songs from her current album Believe before a ribbon is cut to officially mark the motoryacht’s launch.

Having shot to fame in 2003, Katherine is now one of the world’s most successful classical recording artists. She was the first female artist to win two consecutive classical BRIT Awards and six of her studio albums have reached number one in the classical charts, selling a total of more than 4 million copies. Her global appeal has been enhanced following her numerous appearances on television including the 2010 talent series Popstar to Operastar, and her performances at a variety of the world’s largest sporting events.

Sunseeker Founder, Robert Braithwaite, said: “Katherine Jenkins is the perfect person to launch our majestic new vessel at the PSP Southampton Boat Show. Like the Sunseeker 40 Metre Yacht, she is a performer of great beauty, elegance and style. I look forward to welcoming her onboard and to revealing our very latest vessels to all those attending the launch.”

Sunseeker will be debuting both the 40 Metre Yacht and the new Manhattan 63. A further nine Sunseeker craft will also be displayed at the show, including the 80 Yacht and the Portofino 48 on the Sunseeker stand (C006), plus three vessels on the pontoon (Berths M540, M542, M544) including the 88 Yacht and the 30 Metre Yacht.
