Ease of sailing, space to entertain, style to please, the all new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 439.

Following on from the success of the Sun Odyssey 409, the 439 follows the design requirements of being easy to handle, having excellent performance, and being a delight to relax on whilst at anchor.

To make tacking a breeze the Sun Odyssey 439 comes with a self-tacking headsail option. For those who are after extra performance there is a large overlapping headsail available, or you can choose the standard size headsail. To further make the Sun Odyssey 439 your own, make the choice between a fully battened mainsail or an in-mast furling version.

A complete rethink of the ergonomics of sail handling has resulted in a new innovative deck layout.  Sail handling becomes a pleasure with headsail and mainsail sheets that are lead back to primary winches on both sides in easy reach of the helmsperson. All lines are lead back to the cockpit under the coach roof to make moving about on deck that much safer.

Whilst relaxing at anchor the spacious cockpit is ideal for entertaining.  The centrepiece of the cockpit is the large folding table. A spacious swim platform provides security to the cockpit while underway, and folds down when at anchor with its integrated swim ladder. Large lockers throughout the cockpit and a dedicated life raft locker ensure storage for all the gear necessary.

Below you are enveloped in a clean and attractive rich wood finish with light headliners and quality high end upholstery. Exceptional visibility and light comes from the eight hull ports and eleven opening ports and flush hatches. Leather covered handrails and solid wood handholds create a safe and seaworthy interior. A choice of traditional teak and holly or light oak floorboards is available.

You have a choice of two interior layouts. The first has 3 cabins and 2 head compartments, each with a separate shower. A key feature of this layout is the spacious forward cabin that includes a comfortable seat, a desk, plenty of storage and a private head and shower. Should you wish to sail with more friends or family, the second layout has 4 cabins including an owner’s cabin and a cabin with two single bunks along with the two head compartments.

The Sun Odyssey 439 and the Sun Odyssey 409 set a new benchmark in design and ease of sailing, you owe it yourself to indulge.
