Coral Sea Marine is launching its new 55ft power catamaran on the world market at Sanctuary Cove.

Coral Sea Marine Manager Terry Vine said the south-east Queensland company developed its new luxury power catamaran using a select team of very skilled craftsmen.

Terry said: “It is comforting to know this well-designed multihull offers excellent sea-keeping capabilities; as the stable platform will help flatten out the most demanding sea conditions.”

He said size-for-size a catamaran will be more efficient and out-perform most other hull designs and this means lower running costs.

The CS55′ has an overall length of 17.67m, a beam of 5.4m and fuel capacity of 5800L and 1500L water.  Powering this large Cat are two Caterpillar C18’s rated at 1000hp each at 2300rpm.
