Cruise Craft Releases A New Hard Top Model

Come Rain, Hail or Shine it is always difficult to get the right weather conditions when you want to go fishing.

Thankfully the designers at CruiseCraft have come up with the ideal solution with the ever popular Explorer 685 now available with a factory installed HardTop.

The HardTop is a two piece moulded system with a smooth gelcoat interior liner that makes it easy to clean and maintain. The two components are bonded together to form a very stylish HardTop shell.

Cruise Craft’s new HardTop is an integrated innovation which is only available on the Explorer 685 model.

Boaters now have the choice of two HardTop variations as well as the standard SST Targa Bimini when they order their new Explorer 685.   The HardTop can be optioned with a full height glass window that extends from the front of the dash to the underside of the hardtop moulding.  The full height glass work also extends along both sides of the cockpit with sliding panels to allow a flow of air through when needed.

Up north and over in the west where the heat can be just as much as an impediment to comfort as the rain, the HardTop can be fitted with a standard windscreen and utilises CruiseCraft’s unique sail track system for the clears.  When the clears are opened this allows a breeze to flow through the helm area, while providing protection from the sun and rain.

Common features to both variations are the laminated front glass panels, high quality stainless steel hand rails and rod racks.  A single wiper is standard with the full height glass version only.    For those who want even more protection from the elements, an optional SST sliding extension allows a canopy to be extended out over the cockpit.

According to Peter Benston, National Sales & Marketing Manager of Cruise Craft, the hardtop is a significant product enhancement.

“There is a growing number of boaters who are demanding the benefits associated with a HardTop offshore fishing boat,” Peter Benston said.

“Not only does this make fishing and boating more comfortable, it can greatly extend the fishing season for many anglers.”

The additional cost of the HardTop over the conventional SST bimini targa canopy is only a nominal margin considering customers also get Electric Auto-Retract Trim Tabs as part of the option upgrade.   Full details concerning the cost and availability are readily available from authorised CruiseCraft dealers Australia wide.
