Echo Yachts has officially started construction on the ASC57, and has set to be the largest sailing catamaran in the world. This ambitious project, taking place at their facility in the Australian Marine Complex in Western Australia. Features collaborations with top-tier experts like Dykstra Naval Architects and One2Three Naval Architects.
The ASC57 has been designed to mirror the luxury and amenities of Echo Yachts recent motor yacht, M/Y Charley 2, while they are introducing a twin-Dynarig sail system by Southern Spars. This innovative setup will provide an impressive 1,660 m² of sail area, enabling eco-friendly long-range cruising with silent operation under sail thanks to a regenerative power system that includes twin shaft generators and battery storage.
The catamaran will showcase a lightweight aluminium hull designed for efficiency, alongside advanced features like a CPP driveline for enhanced motoring efficiency. With the architectural expertise of Dykstra and structural design from One2Three, the ASC57 promises to push the boundaries of luxury and performance in the sailing yacht market.
