New Elan 210 – Finalist in the European Yacht of the Year 2012
Once again Elan has been nominated for the European Yacht of the Year Awards, this year with their recently launched Elan 210.
Innovation, performance and cruising comforts have placed this mighty mini model as Finalist in her class. Her twin rudders, chined hull, beamy aft quarters with spacious cockpit, retractable keel and motor and generous sail plan plus a whole lot more make her the ideal trailer sailer to take out for a fun and sporty sail – and even more fun when there are cleverly thought out cruising features on board for the family to enjoy.
It is more than impressive run for the small boat yard, over the last few years the Rob Humphreys designed Elan range has scooped continuous top Awards and Nominations for both their Cruising and Performance range in these prestigious annual Awards.
The Elan 350 currently holds the European Boat of the Year 2011 in Performance Cruiser Category, while in the consecutive years of 2006, 2007 and 2008, the Elan 340 and Impression 344 won in their class with both the Elan 410 and 514 placed as Finalists.
Further extensive testing for the 2012 Awards will be conducted in Barcelona by a jury representing 10 premier nautical magazines in Europe, with the announcement of the winners to take place as usual at the major European Boat Show, Boote, in Dusseldorf in January 2012.
