With almost one million registered boats in Australia, you can understand the growing interest by Australians to want to participate. In NSW almost half a million people have a boat driver’s licence.
Recreational boating has become a lifestyle embraced by so many people with Trailer Boats being the launching pad for many lifelong passions.
To help the public better understand how they can participate in recreational boating, members of the Boating Industry Association will be holding a Try Boating Day on Sunday 16th October.
The day, planned over 5 locations in Sydney will operate from 10 am. Locations include Putney, Sans Souci, Penrith, Windsor and Bayview. Those wishing to participate are asked to register on-line at www.bia.org.au
The day will give families an opportunity to speak to one of the boating representatives about how they can participate in recreational boating, and to have a short ride of a boat.
Bring a hat, sunscreen and a drink. Some venues have a playground and BBQ facilities so why not make a day out of it.
Lifejackets will be available. Children under 12 will be required to wear a life jacket and persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
For further information about the day, and to register yourself, family and friends visit www.bia.org.au or call the BIA on (02) 9438 2077
