Held on the river at Murray Bridge South Australia, the annual 110km ski race saw plenty of great action and excitement. With racers facing not only intense competition but also torrential rain and winds, spectators were still out in force for the two days of action packed racing.
In the SMOC Expert class, Evinrude Racing driven by Tony Rowe crossed the finish line first with a time of 52.58. Being powered by the ever reliable Evinrude E TEC 250HO, the team put on a great show and again showed why Evinrude E TEC’s are the number one choice in outboard engine manufacturers.
Rowe said after the race, “We were lucky to pick up the services of the Chiefs skiers after engine issues left them without a boat and up for grabs. Their fitness and experience along with the great performance of the Evinrude 250HO allowed us to run at full pace for the entire race which gave us the victory”.
Following in close second was Stalker Evinrude who finished just 22 seconds behind. This double podium is a testament to the power and performance inherent in the Evinrude E TEC 250HO.
Evinrude powered racers also performed well in the MOC Expert class with Darren Spencer’s Ace taking out first place, followed in close second by Barely Legal.
Barely Legal also placed in the MOC Social class grabbing another second position. With instant throttle response and lightening quick top end speed, E TEC’s consistency in the Australian racing circuit reinforces E TEC’s standing as the leading outboard engine manufacturer.
Congratulations to all Evinrude powered racers for their outstanding achievements at this years Murray Bridge 110!
