eyachts, the Australian importer for the Greenline Hybrid range is delighted to introduce the first transoceanic hybrid, the Greenline 70.  The Ocean Class 70’s Super displacement hull, hybrid capacity, solar T-top technology and GreenPad application place this motor yacht in a unique class.  Greenline considered her size, flybridge concept and transatlantic capacity in naming her the Ocean Class 70.

The new Ocean Class 70 has benefited from the research and development of the immensely successful Greenline Hybrid 33 and 40.

Greenline continues with the philosophy of her smaller sisters, but takes comfort and range to a new level.  “This is a luxury motor yacht that drastically reduces the carbon emission footprint of a boating family”, according to Peter Hrones, Managing Director of eyachts.

The 3 kW solar technology on the hard-top, 80 kW of energy stored in Lithium batteries and a twin hybrid propulsion system rated at 120 kW ensure motoring without stressing the environment.  In electric mode the Greenline Ocean Class 70 delivers a range of 20 nautical miles in absolute silence and completely emission-free.

The GreenPad is an iPad application that has been specially developed for the Greenline yachts. Wirelessly collecting data from the GreenBox in the engine room, it graphically shows the status of your Greenline on the iPad. All the boat’s data is presented through a user-friendly interface. It is packed with features, easy to use and comes with a customisable interface.  The GreenPad assists you in voyage planning, boat monitoring, management and handling, navigation, communication and entertainment for your whole family on board.

A deep protective keel provides directional stability at slow speeds, while following seas, reduces roll and guarantees a well-protected rudder.   The twin active stabilizers offer a smooth ride in the harshest conditions.

The Ocean Class 70 has three comfortable staterooms plus large crew quarters. There is also a generous bathing and boarding platform for a safe and practical water access, especially for large water toys.

A spacious cockpit is well protected offering a large area for eating, lounging and relaxing. The main saloon is easily accessed from the cockpit and protected from sun, wind and spray.

The vast flybridge on the Ocean Class 70 offers a spacious terrace above the sea for unobstructed visibility whilst steering, entertaining and sun-lounging.

The Greenline Ocean Class 70 received the Internautica 2011 Boat of the Year award in the “Motor yachts and boats” category at the Internautica Boat Show 2011 in Slovenia.  Industry journalist and boat show visitors voted on this prestigious award.
