The Fairline Squadron flybridge range from British luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Boats, includes the award-winning Squadron 65, which is one the latest generation of Squadron models and a fine example of the classically elegant range.
With its ‘large yacht’ feeling, the Squadron 65 is a superb flybridge motor yacht that offers three cabins plus crew, all with en-suite facilities. The finest detailing has been taken into account, with the forward stateroom as luxuriously appointed as the mid-ships full beam master stateroom. Such are the attractions of both rooms; airy, light-filled atmosphere, spacious open-plan en-suite layouts, elegant ‘floating’ bed designs and massive wardrobe and storage space.
The starboard guest cabin also offers excellent accommodation, with side by side twin berths, en-suite shower/WC compartment, hanging locker and stowage. An air-conditioned twin berth aft crew cabin with lockers and en-suite bathroom can be specified, or alternatively the space can be used as an aft utility room with excellent stowage for provisions and equipment.
An exceptional feeling of spaciousness is provided by the arrangement of the single-level saloon, galley and dinette arrangement, which provides the perfect setting for entertaining. The spacious saloon, with its sumptuous furnishings and elegant cabinetry, merely hints at the stunning quality and standard of finish to be discovered throughout this extraordinary yacht.
The main helm station has been designed with comfort, safety and ease of operation in mind. There is access to the deck via a pantograph side door. The Recaro® helm seat can be electrically adjusted for convenience and there is an adjustable/tilt steering wheel. All of the boat’s controls including full engine instrumentation, navigation and safety equipment are located within easy reach.
Up top, the huge flybridge is a masterpiece of practical design, with fabulous entertainment facilities and two large, luxurious day beds. With a dedicated dining seating area and large teak table which comfortably seats six, the comprehensive flybridge bar area includes a refrigerator, icemaker, sink and BBQ griddle.
The long central window running the full length of the sunpad on the foredeck not only floods the forward cabin with light, but adds a unique look to the exterior which is fitted with a teak-laid hydraulic ‘hi-lo’ bathing platform for convenient tender/PWC launch or sea access for guests. Other features include a rigid swim ladder, and a concealed overhead hot and cold shower as well as a letterbox style hydraulic extending passerelle which gives easy access to the shore.
The Squadron 65 has received media praise and accolade, including a ‘Motor Boat of the Year’ Award 2010 in the ‘Flybridges over 55ft’ category, as judged by a panel of boat testers from UK marine titles Motor Boats Monthly and Motor Boat & Yachting.
