Fairline readies its latest Targa  64-footer for the Aussie market.

Fairline Boats debuted its latest Targa Gran Turismo 64 on the world stage recently at both the Cannes and Southampton boat shows.

The British boat builder has been creating Targa sports cruisers since 1985 and its latest Targa is the culmination of more than 20 years of research, design and engineering.

The new Targa 64 features an innovative retractable roof and a six or seven-berth setup including a magnificent, full-beam master stateroom amidships with electro-chromatic partition to the en-suite shower room. This high-tech system changes the glass from opaque to transparent at the flick of a switch, allowing light to flood through the feature windows into the cabin. 

A luxurious forward cabin and a twin side-by-side port cabin, both with en-suite access and an optional aft crew cabin, complement the master stateroom.

The Targa 64 has a spacious outdoor cockpit with a comprehensive galley bar and extensive seating for al-fresco entertaining. 

Walking indoors reveals a luxuriously appointed deck saloon and helm position, maximising the available light from the curved side windows and huge sliding full-width roof. This leads to a particular highlight of the model, a wide atrium-style access to the lower galley area, which features a contemporary continental galley and seating quartile. Equipped with everything an owner could require, the highly specified galley includes a microwave oven, fridge/freezer, twin sinks and an optional dishwasher. 

Because the Targa 64 is one of Fairline’s larger yachts, customers can also take advantage of the specialist advice and exclusive services of the Fairline Yacht Division. 

Priced from $3.412 million, the Targa 64 is available with twin Caterpillar C18 1015hp diesels that are expected to reach a speed of around 35 knots. 

The first Targa 64 will arrive in Australia in March 2008, just in time for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and Sydney International Boat Show.
