Fairline Boats has announced it is launching a new variant of the ever popular Targa 38 express cruiser range.
This new model, the Targa 38 GRAN TURISMO will feature a hardtop with powered sliding canvas roof, upgrades to the interior furnishings and new hull feature windows.
The launch of the 38GT also heralds the launch of the fastest ever Fairline. Powered by two of Volvo Penta’s new D6-400 engines, a top speed of 45 knots is anticipated.
The Targa 38 range will continue to offer a number of Volvo Penta stern drive engine options including the D4-260, the D4-300 and the D6-370 in both Open and GT models.
Below decks, accommodation has been increased with the option of a sofa bed that converts to a third berth in the aft guest cabin and following customer feedback, entry to this cabin has been significantly improved.
The Fairline design team has upgraded the overhead lockers in the saloon and master cabin, as well as completely updated the soft furnishings throughout the boat and specified Avonite work surfaces in the galley.
To further differentiate the 2012 Targa 38 range, new hull windows have been incorporated into the latest design to add even more natural light to the accommodation level as well as being visually striking.
Since the Targa 38 launched in 2006, she has been one of the fastest selling models in the Fairline range and in 2007 won the prestigious ‘European Powerboat of the Year’ in the 30ft to 40ft category as judged by marine magazines from 10 European countries.
The new Targa 38 will launch at this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show, taking place in the UK from 16-25 September and immediately be available throughout the region with a delivery to Australia.
