FERRETTI: 40 YEARS A LEADER

1968 saw the beginning of the story of this Italian shipyard, now at the highest levels of the International Nautical Industry.

“I was a little more than a boy when my father gave into my protracted pleading and bought me the most important toy of my life, a small boat just 5.7m long. This was the beginning of an activity that began as a game and went onto to become one of the Italian industry’s most extraordinary stories, leading to the creation of the Ferretti Group”. That’s how Norberto Ferretti, President of the Ferretti Group describes the birth of a vision that has led him to confront the constant challenges that have been the driving force behind 40 years of success – a period shaped by his total personal commitment and involvement.

The Ferretti story began in 1968, when brothers Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti established their naval yard. It’s an experience crowned by the achievement of extraordinary goals, created with passion, farsightedness and professionalism. These values have led the Ferretti Group to become an international icon of ‘Made in Italy’ luxury.

In 2008 Ferretti celebrates the 40^th  anniversary of its foundation with a packed calendar of dates involving clients, the media, yards and local communities on an international level. Along with a number if special projects to be revealed in the second half of this year, 2008 will offer two main events.

The first event in April 2008 is “Privilege Days”, an event dedicated to owners of Ferretti Craft. This will take place in Cattolica  which is the production site for the most prestigious yachts of the Ferretii fleet. On these days the Marina Nuova at Cattolica will host the entire Ferretti Yacht, Mochi Craft and Custom Line fleet and the craft open for inspection for clients and prospective clients alike. 

At the end of the year Ferretti is to celebrate its 40^th anniversary with a unique performance, a private concert at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan dedicated to all those who have experienced, shared and contributed to the Company’s success.
