FERRETTI CUSTOM LINE CELEBRATES SPRING 

BY LAUNCHING THE NEW 112’ NEXTMAXI YACHT 

The official launching of the new model held in Ancona: a special day that marks the 2012 boating season

Ancona, 21st March 2012 –Ferretti Custom Line, Ferretti Group brand operating within the production of fibreglass maxi-yachts measuring 26 to 38 metres, announces the launching of the Custom Line 112’ Next, a 34 metre vessel in the planing category and the twenty-eighth model of the 112 inchmodels. The launching ceremony, strictly organized in private, was held at the shipyard of the Group in Ancona with a traditional baptism during which a bottle of champagne was shattered on the keel: 21st March, a special day for the launching of the maxi yacht, marks the official opening of the 2012 boating season.

Present at the launching, together with the senior management, amongst whom wasLamberto Tacoli, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the Ferretti Group, were the ship owners of the new 112’ Next: the Chinese society of the real estate Xanadu South China Sea. In fact, the 112’ NEXT will have a specific use, it will be one of the attractions at the avail of the guests of the luxurious real estate and tourist complex of Xanadu South China Sea, which is being built on the island of Hainan, and  it will also be one of the biggest maxi yachts, manufactured in a European shipyard, to sail in Chinese waters. The boat will therefore have a leading role in guaranteeing added value to a structure that will be one of the most important resorts of the South of China, consisting of a 5 star hotel, many beautiful villas, a spa, a conference centre, a helicopter landing pad and a private yacht marina. The islandof Hainan, with its lush unpolluted nature, is considered to be the best tourist destination for the new elite of the land of the rising sun.

112’ NEXT is an out and out villa on the sea, measuring over 34 metres in length and 7 inwidth. She features spacious areas both below deck and in the open, a master suite on the main deck and four spacious guest cabins with large open view windows overlooking the sea. 112’ NEXT is also fitted with last generation entertainment systems, as well as an innovative monitoring and control system.  Twin 2775mhp MTU engines drive the yacht to a top speed of 26 knots. On board comfort is guaranteed by 4 Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilizers, fitted in the engine room, which reduce yacht rolling by up to 50%.

Ferretti Custom Line, a brand of the Ferretti Group, manufactures vessels in fibreglass between 26 and 38 metres in length belonging to two lines: planing and semi-displacement. TheFerretti Custom Lineyachts result from the collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the research and ship design centre of the Ferretti Group and the team of architects of the  Centro Stile Ferrettigroup.

A hallmark of the Ferretti Custom Lineboats is the possibility to customize all the non-structural aspects of the boat, such as the wood, marble, furniture including the ad-hoc design: in fact, every boat is unique and reflects the ship owner’s tastes and personality.
