Dehler Yachts have just released the first snippets of information on a new, ultra-modern 38-foot performance cruiser.  A strong local market for the brand here in Australia has focused the product development on the demands of sailors in our region. Judel/Vrolijk’s aim was to deliver a high quality yacht for fast cruising and performance racing whilst including a host of new features and contemporary looks.

According to Team Windcraft’s Dehler Brand Manager John Cowpe -“They’ve done a very good job indeed!”

“Dehler yachts have always been at the forefront of innovative design and the 38 is no exception.” Cowpe continues “I particularly like the deck layout, the continuous side windows and the beautiful lines of this boat …  visually she’s a stunner for sure and having looked over the first renderings of the interior in Germany, I can tell you the Australian public are in for a real treat – something very fresh and new!”

The new Dehler 38 bridges the gap between the Dehler 41 and 35. The build is vinylester and sandwich construction with a keel stepped mast.  There are 6 winches on deck and the mainsheet traveller is integrated into the cockpit floor. Quality B&G instruments, Harken Deck gear and Dyneema halyards are standard. The interior offers a 2 or 3 cabin layout and a multifunction head combining a large shower with minimum loss of space in the saloon.
