First Moody 45DS Arrives In New Zealand

February 2011 saw the much anticipated delivery of the 1st Moody 45 DS to New Zealand.

Her new owners started their search in June 2010 and inspected the new model at the Sydney International Boat show.

After test sailing Cool Change on Pittwater they only had one thing to say…

 “When can we get one?”

Together with the NZ agent Tony Newmarch, a well equipped yacht was ordered and has now splashed down in Auckland with sea trials about to commence.

A new modification to this yacht is an in boom furling mainsail system which was supplied and fitted locally by Leisure Furl. 

Her proud new owners intend to cruise the Pacific after a series of shake down cruises around New Zealand’s stunning Bay of Islands.
