Fountaine Pajot, the world leader in cruising catamaran technology and design, has again raised the industry bar with the $2.5m investment in a new blue-water sailing catamaran, the Helia 44.

The Helia 44 is the result of in-depth collaboration between the Fountaine Pajot team and the Berret  Racoupeau architects office, and is now under construction at Fountaine Pajot’s manufacturing facilities in France.

With its name derived from the Greek term for ‘ray of light’, the Helia 44 will be the nineteenth model launched by Fountaine Pajot in its prestigious 30-year history.

The catamaran will be officially released on 27 June 2012 at the annual Fountaine Pajot International Dealers Conference in France, and it is set to be the most exciting blue water, cruising catamaran of its size on the world market today.

Impressive offshore performance, optimal safety and ease of handling are at the forefront of the Helia 44’s design, and has breathtaking features that set new standards in the cruising catamaran market.

Clerestory windows bathe the expansive living areas in natural light, while the cabins are also fitted with generous windows to afford unprecedented views. Huge volumes in the saloon and accommodation areas are complemented by the epitome of elegance in contemporary design.
