Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts heralds exciting new era

Fountaine Pajot has repositioned its Trawler brand with its range of power catamarans now presented under the banner of Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts. 

Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts CEO Jean-François Fountaine said the rebranding decision was made to ensure the catamarans were more accurately presented to the industry.  

“Our power catamarans are true yachts, renowned for their comfort, performance and low fuel consumption,” Mr Fountaine said. 

“The new branding better reflects the incomparable construction, speed and sleek design of our range, as well as our desire to develop the major motor sector while continuing our strong activity with the Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans line,” he said.

The Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts range currently comprises the Summerland 40, Cumberland 47 Long Range and the Queensland 55. 

The company’s power range was launched 15 years ago and more than 220 catamarans have been built with turnover reaching almost €10m in 2012.  The power range now represents 25 per cent of Fountaine Pajot’s activity, with the expansive sail range continuing to dominate world sales. 

“With this rebranding strategy, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts is looking to soon increase its power sales turnover to €25m,” Mr Fountaine said.

To celebrate this brand repositioning, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts has launched a new version of the Cumberland 47 Long range, which is a slightly larger model than its predecessor with a refurbished interior and enhanced performance.
