Garmin to unveil a brand new stand at the Sydney International Boat Show

The innovation in marine navigation continues with the new, network ready GPSMAP 6000 and 7000 series of Garmin network chartplotters. This new series features G-Motion^TM, providing lightning fast map-drawing speeds. GPSMAP 7000 touchscreen series is available in 12 or 15 inch and the GPSMAP 6000 soft touch button series are available in 8 or 12 inch bright and colourful displays. The evolution continues with the GPSMAP 750(s), the world’s first 7-inch touchscreen chartplotter. These stand alone units combine a stunning array of navigation features with real affordability. Preloaded with Australia and New Zealand marine charts, the GPSMAP 750(s) comes with an Ethernet port that allows you to connect with selected Garmin radars and a high speed processor for exceptional redraw, zoom and refresh rates.

Also on display will be the impressive GPSMAP 400 and 500 series. These units provide great value in a compact 4 inch (400 series) or 5 inch (500 series) easy to use interface. Garmin’s new GHP™ 12 sailboat autopilot system as seen on Bavaria Yachts will be showcased at the Garmin stand. Designed for 20 to 70 foot sailboats with linear-driven (non-tiller) rudder steering systems, the GHP 12 is a powerful below-deck autopilot that combines low power draw and energy-saving features with a full range of hands-freeing capabilities: heading hold, wind hold, step turns, tack/jibe, MFD route following and more (when interfaced with your boat’s compatible wind sensor and onboard GPS). A built-in rate gyro maintains precise turn response and stability – even in following seas. And NMEA 2000^® connectivity assures easy installation and networking.
