Glorious weather, good company and a voyage to remember

Gold Coast to Sydney, Australia: It was a voyage to remember for new Riviera Syndication owners Peter Heathcote and Simon Farr who are still pinching themselves after a two day journey from the Gold Coast to Sydney, a voyage of some 380 nautical miles.

It was the first blue water experience for Peter and Simon who each own a share in the stunning 5800 Sport Yacht Bellini, which is berthed at Sanctuary Cove but travels to Hamilton Island in North Queensland for the winter months and Sydney for summer.

Simon purchased his share in Bellini at the 2012 2nd annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo that was held in November and no sooner had he finished his on board training, he was back on board for an adventure of a lifetime.

“I have never done anything like this before, and to experience an ocean voyage was a unique experience for me,” said Simon.

“We had perfect weather and just rolled all the way down, it was absolutely magic and I can’t stop thinking about it.

“It was a fabulous two day trip from Sanctuary Cove to Sydney alongsideBellagio, also a 5800 Sport Yacht, which is something that most boaties will never experience.

“After dreaming about owning a Riviera for years, I was sold on the idea of Riviera Syndication the minute I stepped on board Bellini and met John and Sharon, exactly one month ago, and I am so pleased I did.”

Peter purchased his share in Bellini about six months ago and has never looked back.

“It was my first blue water experience and we had glorious weather heading out through the Gold Coast Seaway as the morning light was breaking through the clouds.  I was absolutely exhilarating and just the beginning of a trip of a lifetime,” said Peter.

“Heading through Sydney Harbour two days later was the stuff dreams are made of – the bays, beaches, inlets, islands and ports along the way were many and varied, not to mention the dolphins and whales that we saw.

“We felt extremely safe and comfortable and learnt a lot about the boat, the safety gear and on board navigation from the professional skipper on board.

“Riviera Syndication has enabled me to experience premium boating in magnificent locations with first class crew and support.”

Both Simon and Peter enjoyed meeting other Syndication owners and spent a week on board cruising around the Hawkesbury River before flying back to Queensland together.  They now look forward to spending time on board in Sydney with their families during Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Riviera Syndication will have their two 5800 Sport Yachts, Bellini andBellagio, berthed at Pittwater for the summer months where owners will have the chance to holiday on board in the beautiful Hawkesbury River and Pittwater area, as well as enjoying the spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks from Sydney Harbour – what could be better than that?
