Grand Banks Rally 2011

The month of April was an exciting one for Grand Banks Australia.

Over the weekend of 15th April, GB Australia hosted their first Regatta since taking over Australia Distribution. The turnout was excellent with 9 boats and 22 people in attendance.

The weekend started with a leisurely cruise north, on the Broadwater, to the picturesque town of Dunwich on South Stradbroke Island.  The event was held at Little Ships Club and started with afternoon drinks on the dock followed by a fantastic dinner overlooking the Harbor.

The plan for Saturday was modified slightly due to inclement weather and the group ended up having a relaxing breakfast in town followed by  a leisurely day at the Little Ships Club’s Tavern. The evening was definitely the highlight however with a good old fashioned twilight barbecue.
