The Greenline Hybrid 33, the first truly hybrid boat utilising solar, diesel and electric power, is set for launch at the Sydney International Boat Show, 29 July to 02 August 2010.

The multi-award winning Greenline Hybrid 33 is a production built, single cabin boat with a patented “superdisplacement” hull, powered by a combination of diesel engine and solar-electric generation.  The awards won include the 2010 European Boat of the Year, several national Boat of the Year awards, Swedish Environmental Boat of the Year and has been nominated for a European Award for the Environment.

North South Yachting, Australian importer’s, will be distributing the Greenline Hybrid across their national dealership network.  The first boat is due to arrive in Sydney at the end of this week ahead of launch at the forthcoming Sydney International Boat Show.  Greenline Sales Director, Tilen Jakopin, will be attending the Sydney Boat Show with North South Yachting to specifically support the Australian launch.

Bob Mulkearns, MD NSY, visited the Greenline factory recently and had the opportunity to sea trial the new boat:

“The sea trial showed the boat to have a solid sea keeping motion and she was unbelievably quiet on both electric and diesel motor.  Internal space is excellent and the boat exudes a warm, comfortable and luxurious feel with a high quality finish.  J&J Design have created an astonishing craft using some of the most advanced manufacturing processes.  The technology is clearly evident throughout with the new solar/diesel hybrid power, infusion lamination and advanced production capabilities.  This is a real 21st Century boat.”

The first Greenline Hybrid 33 is available to “drive away” in Australia for $333,333 (including a number of option upgrades).
